As I write this, there is a major heat wave descending upon much of the United States as we enter the month of July. It’s no different than other parts of the world where summer temps have risen and ushered in the vibrant summer energy.

Stepping out of May and into June feels like entering the gateway to summer. Every morning I naturally awaken with the early predawn light and soak up the moments before the day begins.

We are in the homestretch towards summer! The pace has already slowed a bit, with traffic and commuter patterns noticeably shifting.

At long last, spring is officially udnerway, and April arrives with longer days and just enough warmth tolure everyone back outside.

The month of March always feels like a breath of fresh air, a glimmer of hope on the horizon after a long, cold winter. Around the world people celebrate the arrival of spring and the end of winter with elaborate festivals such as Holi in India, Carnival in Brazil and Lunar New Year in Asia.

We are in the heart of winter, and this year feels especially frigid. Bone chilling temperatures call for hearty meals and cozy drinks by the fireplace.

I am writing this newsletter from the island of Mallorca, a magical corner of the world known for its picturesque ports and villages, rugged, mountainous terrain, and its dazzling beaches lining the sparkling, azure Balearic sea.

July ushers in the summer heat as well as sparkling and festive celebrations, from Independence Days to Bastille Day. Fireflies light up the night and the sound of cicadas create a soothing buzz throughout the long, bright days.

June is the official start of summer! As schools let out and graduations take place, there is a palpable sense of enjoyment, whether it be increased recreation, spending time in nature, outdoor dining with friends and family or travel.

May is the month where we officially turn the corner towards summer. The days are getting warmer, and the calendar is stacked with festive events such as the Kentucky Derby, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and various graduations.
