I am writing this newsletter from the island of Mallorca, a magical corner of the world known for its picturesque ports and villages, rugged, mountainous terrain, and its dazzling beaches lining the sparkling, azure Balearic sea. Mallorca’s landscape is as diverse as its beautiful, rich cultural history that is reflected in its gastronomy, traditions and architecture. I am so grateful to have been offered the opportunity to immense myself in this vibrant community, where I am beginning to understand how it ticks; I can feel its heartbeat and the ebb and flow of local daily routines. I’ve had the chance to slow down and work on creative projects, to meet up with friends both new and old, and to ditch my AirPods in order to hear the small, clanking bells of goats and sheep as they eat and play in olive tree-lined orchards as I walk on a pedestrian path each morning at sunrise.
Spiritually, August is a month of transition and new opportunities. It’s a perfect time to pause, reflect, become clear on goals and set intentions. Enjoy the moments, both big and small and savor this ultimate summer month.
