September means back to school, new beginnings and fresh starts. While it’s a bittersweet month as we say goodbye to summer, it’s also a time to be grateful for the wonderful memories created during those more relaxed sun-filled days. The ninth month of the year brings structure and routine, sharpened number 2 pencils and big yellow school buses.

While I love all the seasons, I think fall is perhaps my favorite with its beautiful hues, change of wardrobe and, of course, the amazing bounty of autumn produce that we use not only for cooking but also for decorating. Embrace this gorgeous month and its subtle hints of change from slightly cooler mornings to golden sunlight reflecting the treetop foliage.
