October seems to have snuck up on me this year. Perhaps I’m just not quite ready to let go of summer, as I still want to keep one foot firmly planted in its warmth. But the cooler mornings and darker evenings are gentle reminders that the season has changed.
So, this weekend, I’m heading to the pumpkin patch to select pumpkins and gourds and fully embrace the arrival of autumn. Before we know it, Halloween will be here, followed by all the cozy traditions that make this time of year so special.
