October suddenly feels a little different as we enter the middle period of fall, which brings cooler temperatures and the promise of favorite sweet and savory autumnal dishes. In the home, swap out light summer colors for warmer hues such as woods and coppers for storage and entertaining. Bring nature inside to decorate using beautiful berries, branches and wildflowers. Spooky season is also on the horizon with Halloween costumes. frightful decorations and candy filled aisles. However, nature’s seasonal bounty has plenty of ‘sweets’ from roasted butternut squash to crisp apples to pumpkin and cranberries.
