Color scheme: Côte d’azur blue, sunshine yellow
Inspiration: Warm summer evenings, Provence style and wildflowers

Summer evenings are made for casual, relaxing dinners with friends and family. The air is warm, the days are longer, and the sound of cicadas fills the air. It’s far too hot for rushing around which is why prepping ahead of time as much as possible makes hosting the actual dinner party run so much more smoothly. I chose a French tablecloth that I had bought in Provence and used simple vases for cut wildflowers from the local farmer’s market to pull in more colors. Wicker always feels like summer to me and brings in another warm tone. Candles are beautiful on the table, especially when the sun begins to set. I served Fried Zucchini Flowers and Lima Bean Dip for appetizers, Chicken Scallopini with Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables and warm ciabatta bread for dinner and Chocolate Fudge Brownies for dessert.
