For a refreshing cocktail, try this slightly sweet and tangy spritz. It also makes a beautiful mocktail, minus the alcohol.

Yields:
1 cocktail
1 cup of simple syrup

Ingredients:

Cocktail:

1.5 oz Tequila
1 oz Hibiscus syrup
.5 oz lime juice
2 oz club soda
Garnish with a lemon twist

Add tequila, hibiscus syrup and lime juice to a shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled and strain into a glass.

Top with the club soda and garnish with the lemon twist..

Cheers!

Hibiscus Simple Syrup:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup dried Heray Spice Hibiscus flowers

Thoroughly combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a slow boil. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until thickened. Strain the flowers, reserving the syrup.

The syrup may be kept in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
